Sakura, that is Cherry Blossom Season, see’s Japan bathed in tones on light pink, with flowers blossoming from Tokyo to Kyoto, from Hikone to Hiroshima, and it is a vision that enthralls locals and foreigners alike. Which is why in April 2018, we have put together a departure to Japan that will highlight this incredible seasonal event!
For those that want to experience Sakura this is the perfect time to head over to Japan but we do realise that this might not be a draw card for everybody which is what the tour we are operating takes in a steady balanced mix of modern and ancient Japan, with a few twists of our own thrown in.
We are going to start the tour for example with an exclusive day out for our guests, beginning with a trip to Tsukiji Fish Markets – the largest market of it’s kind in Asia, where we will learn of the importance of fishing and seafood to the Japanese people before we head off to learn how to make one of Japans most iconic meals in a Sushi Preparation Workshop. The days even’ts don’t end there however as we head out in the evening to get a glimpse of the Japanese love of Robots, Animatronics and Anime as we visit the almost infamous “Robot Cabaret Show”, followed by a dinner at a rather unusual restaurant.
This though is just the start of getting a true taste of Japan, from here our trip unfolds and covers all sorts of evens and sights that people love about the Land of the Rising Sun. We will take a trip on the Bullet Train, which is one of the highlights for many people, we will visit the floating Shrine of Hiroshima, experience the extraordinary view of Mount Fuji, partake in a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, take a look at the famous Bamboo Forests at Kyoto, visit the iconic Castles of Matsumto and Ninja, and much more.
This is a truly incredible trip, visiting Japan at a time of the year like no other! With visits and sightseeing in Tokyo, Nikko, Matsumoto, Nagano, Toyama, Shirakawam Takayama, Nagoya, Toba, Osaka, Matsuem, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Hakkone National Park.
The package includes return airfares from Sydney, 4 star accommodation throughout, sightseeing daily, entry to a number of sights and locations, transport by air-conditioned coach and more! Full details can be reviewed here (please click to read.)
Running from the 8th to the 23rd of April this is slated to be an incredible touring experience and with a limited number of spaces available at AU$7994 per person in share twin if you want to join then to book, or enquire about more details, please contact us on (02) 4421 5577 or by email on email@example.com

Sometimes when we are eager to get away and see that dreamed of destination like Split and the Dalmatian Coast, or the herds of the Serengeti, or even just a night at the west end in London, we look for tours and groups that suit what we desire and come up empty, sometimes we just need to do it in our own time and at our own pace.
This something we can help you with as easily as we help put you aboard your favourite tour. If you have 3 days or 6 weeks and want to ensure that everything for your trip is organised then we can help. From rail segments, to hotel. From Flights to Transfers. From Sightseeing to attraction passes there are hundreds of opportunities out there for the traveller who wants to see and do it all without hopping aboard a group tour.
With partners like South America Tourism Office, the Africa Safari Co, Beyond Travel, Adventureworld, Wendy Wu Tours and Qantas Holidays we can organise tailor made travel arrangements to suit your needs. Whether you are looking for a privately guided tour of Mexico, or just a few days in London with sightseeing we can help you organise your holiday.
“It’s cheaper for me to book it when I get there ..”
Is something that we hear from so many people, and in truth it is a myth. While there are the occasional local specials that are available, a lot of local tours and prices are the same as what you would get by booking through an agency. More, if you book through an agency everything is ready and prepaid, you won’t have to worry about extra finances whilst on holidays !
“We didn’t get to see as much as we hoped for while there ..”
Is the other thing that we hear most from those that want to organise touring and day trips whilst overseas. As anyone can tell you, when you are sitting in a hotel trying to decide from pamphlets what tour to take or sight to see hours can slip by, availability may not end up being there, and time is wasted that could be better used either sightseeing or really relaxing. Pre-organising your touring not only saves you money, but saves you time and allows you the opportunity to better organise your trip away to do what you want.
South America Tourism Office, the Africa Safari Co, Beyond Travel, Adventureworld, Wendy Wu Tours and Qantas Holidays are amongst some of our best partners at helping to organise the best trips for individuals, that will allow you to make the most of both your time and your money.
So if you wan’t to get away on a private tour, or a free style holiday then this is your opportunity to talk to the experts all about it! Just come and see us at ..
My Travel Expo.

Just a short journey from Australia, the Asian Region is a fantastic area for the quick getaway. While many destinations would take weeks on end to see in full, for the traveller with only a week or two to spend, there are a fantastic array of highlight options that will give you an incredible taste of a destination then leave you asking for more, and willing to travel back there again in the future.
For those after their first taste of Asia, our Singapore with the Experts programme this October is the perfect way to get your first feel of a foreign culture without the huge differences that a lot of the mainland Asian destinations provide. From AU$2899 this is a perfect introductory trip to Asia.
For those that are more adventurous we have a couple of introductory tours we are running in early 2017 with the assistance of our longtime partner in Asia – Wendy Wu – to visit the best of Vietnam and the Best of China
In March we have a fantastic 9 Day Tour of Vietnam, covering the Highlights of Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and the Mekong, starting at AU$3450 per person in share twin.
In April we discover the highlights of China over 10 days as we travel to Beijing, Xián and Shanghai, visiting the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, the water town of Zhujiajiaou and more, starting at just AU$4026 per person share twin.
Both of these tours will be escorted with a minimum of 16 travellers, both tour departures are guaranteed to operate as scheduled. There are limited spaces on these departures, so should you wish to join them, or talk to us about a journey to Asia, we encourage you to contact us at My Travel Expert on (02) 4421 5577 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Here at Shoalhaven Solo Sisters and My Travel Expert, when we work to match up Solo Travellers our aim to see that we match you up with someone that you believe you might be compatible with. We do know though that there are those solo travellers out there who don’t mind who they are matched up with – and figure on a tour of a week or two they should be able to put up with a stranger for a week or two.
For BOTH of those kind of travellers, we have something here you may like!
Wendy Wu, one of our preferred industry partners have 3 fantastic Solo Departures on offer for 2016 with voyages to India, Vietnam and China. Inclusive of Airfares, Sightseeing, Accommodation, Visas, some meals and more these tours also offer no single supplement costs and guaranteed single rooms on all 3 departures!
So if you have always wanted to get a taste of China, Vietnam or India now is the time! Just contact My Travel Expert and the Shoalhaven Solo Sisters on (02) 4421 5577 or email us today at email@example.com
For those receiving these by e-mail, or via Facebook please bear with us as you will undoubtedly receive a number of these Exhibitor Introductions over the next few days as we ramp up to our Cruise Expo which is only a week away! So this is our last chance to tell you about those that are coming , what they offer and to give you a preview of the experts you will have access to on the 17th March including today’s Exhibitor .. Star Cruises!
For those of us here in Australia, Star Cruises is not a name we see every day .. we do see it when the ships occasionally come down into our waters for varying reasons, or when some huge special appears but for the most part it is a cruise line that doesn’t get a lot of attention locally here – but it should!
Star Cruises has a fantastic array of sailings, with its major ports of call through Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and China. For a family looking to give their kids a first glimpse of a different culture their cruises are a fantastic way to do so.
Outside of their fantastic destinations the onboard facilities – from gaming rooms, to bars and casinos, from health spas to restaurants are plenty to keep you occupied whilst at sea. The onboard entertainment is always remarkable and the kids club is sure to amuse the younger travellers.
So if a taste of Asia for the family sounds like something you want to consider then come down and speak with the experts at Star Cruises at My Cruise Expo, on the 17th March 2017 at Worrigee Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club from 5pm till 8pm!
Its finally here! My Singapore Encounter! For those that want to experience another country for the first time, for the traveller that enjoys mixing up set touring with self exploration or for the traveller who just enjoys getting out in good company then this is the trip for you!
Starting at AU$2888 per person inclusive of flights to and from Singapore from Sydney this trip takes in some of the best highlights of Singapore from breakfast at the Zoo to the wonders of Sentosa Island. For full details simply click here!
There is also plenty of free time to get out and explore Singapore on your own, and there is plenty to see and do, as the Whats Shiok (Enjoyable) in Singapore clip below from the Singapore Tourism Board released shows!
When people talk about getting away, a lot of feedback and questions we have are along the lines of where is worth seeing and what is within my Budget? For us the list of destinations and things to do is longer than our arms, and the options to fit within budget will vary from destination to destination. What we could recommend though that is generally within many peoples budget ranges is a trip to Asia, and there are a number of wholesalers including Wendy Wu, Peregrine and Travel IndoChina who have some fantastic options for single travellers.
Asia has a fantastic array of destinations where you can get out and see some incredible natural sights, areas of unique cultural and historic, and there is always special interest and river cruises. China, Mongolia, Vietnam, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand .. there are literally dozens upon dozens of options to think about! There are even more ways to get out there and experience what there is to discover. One of the more popular ways is small group touring – which Travel Indochina specialise in. Small groups usually of between 10 and a maximum of 16 travellers allow you intimate access to guides and sites without the bustle of a large tour group.
For example here are 4 of Travel Indochinas 2014 Itineraries that are great introductory tours that showcase the highlights of their destinations
Vietnam Insights: 11 days in Vietnam from AU$2610 per person in share twin. This trip takes in the base highlights of Vietnam – Hanoi, Halong Baym Danangm Hue, Hoian and Saigon including the Mekong Delta and the Cu Chi Tunnels.
China Panorama: 15 days in China from AU$4250 per person in share twin. This trip takes in the major highlights of China starting in Shanghai, then to Zhuijiajiao, Guilin, Yuangshuo, Longshen, Chengdu, XiÁn and Beijing.
Iconic India: 17 Days in India from AU$3985 per person in share twin. This journey soome of the true highlights of India – Udaipur, Jojawar, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra (including the Taj Mahal), Orchla, Bandhavgarh National Park, Khajuraho, Varanasi andDelhi
Burma Revealed: 13 days from AU$4080 per person in share twin. Burma is a fantastic destination and this tour covers the least of what one would want to encounter – Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Kalaw and Inle Lake.
Please note that all rates shown above are subject to availability as well as varying terms and conditions. These and many other itineraries are available and we can provide costings for specific dates for across Asia with Travel Indochina.
Which is my next point – why is Travel Indochina someone we would recommend that a Solo Sister Member consider travelling with? The simple answer is that on their small group departures there are some fantastic options in regards to sharing and pricing that work in favour of the single traveller. Travel Indochina on their small group departures will offer to match a single traveller “with a stranger”, which means they will attempt to match you with someone of the same sex (and hopefully age) for the duration of their tour. As a bonus on their small groups should they not be able to find someone to match you with, and you then need to have a room to yourself .. they won’t charge a single supplement. This is a great opportunity for a single traveller who doesn’t want to fork out the additional for a guaranteed room of their own and who doesn’t mind sharing.
So if you have been considering a trip to Asia, why not drop by My Travel Expert / Shoalhaven Solo Sisters and speak to us about the opportunity presented with Travel Indochina
