My Travel Expo. 22 September, 4pm til 7pm
@ Shoalhaven Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club at Worrigee
Appearing for the first time at one of our Expos will be the incredible Norwegian Cruise Lines. For years Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) have been awing passengers in the Mediterranean, Hawaii, the Inside Passage, the Carribbean and more, and in 2016 they will be sailing our way and will hopefully “wow”more than a few people whilst here in Australian waters.
In 2017, for the first time NCL will be bringing the Norwegian Star to Asia and Australian waters with three cruises departures that will tie in Sydney: 21 Days Hong Kong to Sydney Cruise 16th January 2017), 12 Day Sydney to Auckland Cruise (6th February 2017) and
31 Day Sydney to Singapore Cruise (6th February 2017). This is the perfect chance to get aboard the Norwegian Star and get a taste of cruising with NCL.
Why? Well first off if the cruises are popular, NCL may be tempted to bring ships down here on a more regular basis, secondly because NCL is one of the premier lines doing cruises around the world and so this is a great opportunity to preview something you may want to experience in these destinations.
The other reason that NCL should be in your mind is that they present one of the best ways to visit the Hawaiian Islands with their vessel “Pride Of America”which sails round the islands on a yearly basis giving you the opportunity to see the best that all the islands have to offer – without the need to take too many inter island flights, or spend over a month cruising to get to Hawaii and back.
They also have a fantastic array of Mediterranean Cruises, mostly around the two week duration, many covering the French Riviera, the incredible coastal locations of Italy, the Dalmatian Coast and the Greek Islands. This is the perfect way to wind down that frantic tour of Central Europe, or to start a larger European Cruising Experience, or just a great trip on its own!
So why not join us at My Travel Expo and see if NCL has something for you!
My Travel Expo. 4pm til 7pm, 22 September, at Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemans Club Worrigree.

So this is our last chance to tell you about those that are coming , what they offer and to give you a preview of the experts you will have access to on the 17th March including today’s Exhibitor .. Star Cruises!
For those of us here in Australia, Star Cruises is not a name we see every day .. we do see it when the ships occasionally come down into our waters for varying reasons, or when some huge special appears but for the most part it is a cruise line that doesn’t get a lot of attention locally here – but it should!
Star Cruises has a fantastic array of sailings, with its major ports of call through Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and China. For a family looking to give their kids a first glimpse of a different culture their cruises are a fantastic way to do so.
Outside of their fantastic destinations the onboard facilities – from gaming rooms, to bars and casinos, from health spas to restaurants are plenty to keep you occupied whilst at sea. The onboard entertainment is always remarkable and the kids club is sure to amuse the younger travellers.
So if a taste of Asia for the family sounds like something you want to consider then come down and speak with the experts at Star Cruises at My Cruise Expo, on the 17th March 2017 at Worrigee Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club from 5pm till 8pm!
Today I would like to take a few minutes to introduce one of our Luxury and Mid-Range Experts that will be Exhibiting at our Upcoming Expo on the 17th March at Worrigee Ex-Servicemans Club. I am talking about a touring company who have become a well recognised brand in Australia over the course of three generations – APT, and their sister company Travelmarvel.
APT first appeared on the Australian market in the 1920’s and spent decades evolving into the company that it is today. Today they run tours and cruises across the globes, with programmes and packages to suit all sorts of travellers from Rail Aficionados to 4wd Adventurers, from Wilderness Lodges to Botanical Tours, from Touring to Cruising – and cruising is what we are going to talk about today!
APT have a fantastic arrange of cruising options – their most popular, both with the 5 star APT product and the cheaper Travelmarvel alternatives, are river cruises. Between vessels of their own and charted vessels APT can help you set sail on the Danube, the Rhine, the Rhone, the Seine, the Duoro, the Chobe, the Amazon, the Mississippi, the Irrawaddy, the Mekong and the Yangtze.
APT specialises is providing fantastic river cruises, incredible day tours, culinary delights and the ability to unpack once, sit back and enjoy yourself as your floating hotel literally drifts from location to location.
APT also has an incredible array of small ship cruises to take the traveller to the world’s most adventurous destinations and offer some of the most personalised service in exploration whilst ensuring comfort at every turn. Their small ship cruises operate through the Mediterranean, the Norwegian Fjords, the Japanese Isles, the South East Asian Coast and beyond – a small ship cruise with APT guarantees a unique experience you are not likely to forget. With partners like Holland America Lines and Princess Cruises APT also offers a fantastic selection of Inside Passage journeys.
So if a luxury cruise where they really do look after you sounds like the way to spend a few weeks why not speak to the Experts from APT at at My Cruise Expo, on the 17th March 2017 at Worrigee Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club from 5pm till 8pm!
Over this weekend just past we were the winner of the “Agency Promotion Of The Year” at the Annual CLIA Awards (Cruise Lines International Association), which for an agency like ours based in rural Australia is a huge win! Our thanks and our appreciation go out to our cruise Partner who made this possible – one of the Exhibitors at our upcoming Cruise Expo on the 17th of March – P&O Cruises!
For many of those here in Australia, P&O is a well recognised name, and it should be! P&O is a cruise line founded in Britain, but which pioneered cruising from Australia with its first cruise (a Brisbane to Norfolk Island Return Trip for 1100 people) in 1932 selling out in a single day! From these early pleasure cruises to the transport of migrants following World War II to the modern cruise age, P&O have been a presence in Australia for over 70 years!
For Australian travellers, P&O has been the first cruise line of choice for many of those years, and while in the last few decades a lot of competition has arisen for cruising ex-Australian ports there are still a hot of reasons why P&O is still amongst the most popular.
Year Round! Of all the cruise lines operating out of Australian Water P&O offer the most cruises departing year round from their major cruise ports – so when a lot of other ships depart for different waters, this cruise line is still here serving the Australian Community
Varied Departures! P&O Cruises offer a fantastic array of cruises from Australia, short cruises from Capitals to varying areas, three day cruises to no-where, themed cruises, cruises along the Australian Coast, cruises up to Indonesia and South East Asia, cruises to New Zealand, cruises to the Pacific Island and most recently cruises to Papua New Guinea. The variety of destinations and durations leave a huge range of offers for all sorts of travellers from those looking for a weekend break to those looking for a longer voyage.
Good Value! Say what you will about any cruise line, P&O Cruises offers a Good Value cruise product that is within reach of most Australians, for relatively low prices you can get away from 3 to 35 odd days with all accommodation, meals and entertainment included. P&O Cruises also offer a range of well priced land tours on all their cruises, and for those that enjoy a drink or two have recently introduced “Drinks Packages”on their voyages of 7 days or longer.
Forward Looking! Most importantly, no matter the ships age or status, P&O is always refitting and updating their ships to keep up to date with the needs and desires of its travellers – much of which is accomplished through passenger feedback, such as the conversion from the standard Buffet to the new “Pantry”
P&O Cruises is a fantastic Cruise Line for the first time cruiser to get a taste of Cruising, or for a family looking for an affordable getaway, for honeymooners looking for a holiday where they won’t need to worry about looking after anything. So if a good break ex-your favoured Australian Port and P&O sounds good, come and see the Expert at at My Cruise Expo, on the 17th March 2017 at Worrigee Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club from 5pm till 8pm!
As you can see, even we enjoy what P&O Cruises has to offer!
With the current cruise market for Australian Travellers there are a number of five-star cruises that visit our shores, but none with the regularity of Holland America Lines, who will be one of our fantastic Exhibitors at My Cruise Expo on the 17th March 2016.
In operation now for over 140 years Holland America Line is known by many Australians as one of the best ways to encounter the Inside Passage whilst in Canada, with a cruise from Vancouver or Victoria, up through the Islands to Juneau or Alaska, and then usually back again.
Holland America Line does a lot more than the Inside Passage though – as fantastic as those trips are. Holland America Line run regular cruises through the Caribbean, South East Asia, Australia and the Pacific, the Mediterranean and usually have a number of round world cruises each year for those looking to circumnavigate the globe by sea!
What Holland America Line is known for is their excellence of service, with an average of one crew to every two travellers, its heritage of elegance, and its spectacular shows and onboard entertainment. An upmarket experience of cruising that has its roots in the earliest trans-Atlantic voyages, but has grown with time and desires. From fine dining to dancing with the stars, Holland America Line is an experience from embarkation till cruise end!
If you have ever wanted to cruise the Adriatic and visit the Dalmatian Coast, or the Greek Islands, if you have ever desired to Cruise around New Zealand, or circumnavigate the globe. If you have ever desired to explore one of the worlds most incredible region, in comfort and high style, then Holland America Line may be the choice for you. So why not come down and speak with the Expert at My Cruise Expo, on the 17th March 2017 at Worrigee Ex-Serviceman’s Sports Club from 5pm till 8pm!
With our Cruise Expo date coming closer we thought it was time to let you know of another one of our fantastic Exhibitors, the incredible Silversea Cruises. In their own words “Silversea’s small luxury ships are designed for those who delight in the thrill of discovery while indulging mind and body in the most lavish surroundings imaginable.”
Three key-words to remember when thinking of Silversea are Luxury, All-Inclusive and Expedition.
Cruising to over 800 destinations across all seven Continents, Silverseas operates 8 small luxury ships that can show you the world in a far more personal and meaningful way. They regularly visit small, secluded harbours not yet on the radar, and their itineraries include many ports with late-night and overnight departures providing you with more time to experience the local colours and cultures, or take you on an expedition to some of the most remote regions of the globe, from Antarctica to the Kimberleys to the Galapagos.
Silversea are passionate about service and committed to maintaining the highest possible standards or service (and luxury) with a staff to guest ration of almost one to one that ensures that there is always someone ready to meet the travellers needs. The fleets open seated dining and speciality venues are renown for the culinary excellence and spirit of innovation. With (dependant on ships) a range of public areas to suit your desires from Libraries and Gyms, to Bars, Spas, Pools, observation lounges, theatres and more there is always something to do onboard. If all that seems to much you can always retreat to your cabin which all have ocean views, many with private Veranda’s, and all suites offer one of the highest Guest to Space ratio of any luxury Cruise line.
On Silversea Cruises their costs are all-Inclusive for the onboard stay with Ocean view Suites, most with private verandas, Butler service for every suite, all gratuities, select wines, spirits, coffes and soft drinks are complimentary throughout the vessel and the suites mini-bar is also stocked with your preference and replenished on request. Gourmet and In-Suite dining are also included.
Silversea Expedition cruises come with the same standard of inclusions plus complimentary expedition gear, all zodiac land and sea tours and activities, as well as onboard lectures by qualified experts including Naturalists, geologists and more!
Of course what we can show you and tell you in a brief introductory post is just that, a brief introduction. So for more information on Silversea, their ships, their destinations and their programmes, why not come down to My Cruise Expo at the Worrigee Ex-Servicemans Sports Club on the 17th March from 5pm til 8pm!
With our Cruise Expo coming up on the 17th of March we thought we would take a chance to give you some introductory previews to some of the companies that will have representation there. Some will be representing a singular cruise company, whilst others will be able to offer a wide variety of Cruise Experiences. Our first introduction is one of the latter – a company known here in Australia as Adventureworld.
Adventureworlds’ primary focus is on touring for the individual and through a well established network of overseas partners they can help the traveller enjoy sightseeing across Canada, Alaska, the USA, South and Central America, India and the Sub-Continent, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. As part of their product for individuals they do have a number of Cruise options available in their product.
These include a wide range of Inside Passage Cruises, not only with larger vessels run by Princess, Holland American and NCL but can also do more intimate cruising with a number of their Small Ship Cruises which cover a variety of Cruise Lines. More than the inside passage they can also assist with Cruises in the North-West Passage and the Arctic Circle.
In Asia they have a number of Vessels they contract with for Cruising the Irrawaddy, the Mekong, the Yangtze and of course the famous houseboats of Kerala and Srinagar, and the Junks of Halong Bay.
In South America they can help you explore the Amazon from locations in Peru, Ecuador and Brazil, and from Chile and Argentina they can help you explore the Chilean Fjords, Cape Horn, the Antarctic and the Cities of Southern Argentina.
Adventureworld is also the representative in Australia for Un-Cruise Adventures who are a fantastic company that specialises in expedition adventures that will get you away from the standard cruise fare.
Using smaller vessels designed for a more intimate voyage most of their vessels hold no more than 88 passengers. The trips Un-Cruise make can take you on voyages through areas like the Snake and Colorado Rivers, into some of the most incredible places along the Inside passage and around the Hawaiian Islands.
They have an incredible array of small ships and yachts that can allow you to explore some of the worlds most incredible regions , either on a single cruise vessel or through combining several voyages .. for example by combining voyages you could potentially cruise around Alaska and the inside passage for 21 days without revisiting a single location
Adventureworld also represents the incredible Star Clippers, a fleet of tallships that sail the waters of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and around Asia. So if you were looking for a truly unique voyage these are an incredible way to visit some of the worlds most Incredible Islands, Historic Sights and Scenic Regions.
While it may sound like you would be “roughing it”the cabins are almost as well appointed as any major cruise line, you are severed several meals a day, visit incredible ports and if sitting back and relaxing on deck isn’t your thing there are a range of onboard activities, including helping the crew sail her if so desired.
So if you want to cruise some of the worlds most unique locations, in some of the most incredible vessels around, perhaps its worth speaking with Adventureworld to see how they can help.
When it comes to Cruising there is a world of possibilities out there! Dining Cruises on Sydney Harbour with Captain Cook Cruises. Antarctic Voyages in high style with Silverseas. Family Adventures around the Pacific Islands with P&O Cruises. Watching history drift by as you cruise the Mekong with Victoria Cruises. Sailing the coast of Thailand with Star Clippers.
