Wow, what a turn out for the Travel Expo last night, a fantastic evening. We do have a number of specials that are available only for the next 7 days or so for those that attended (or wanted to but were prevented by inclement weather) and I will run down those specials in a moment, full details are available on contacting our office for all of them.
Before I do that though just a brief update on the Pre-sale and Discount offers on our Tours please note that:
- European River Cruise, if you book and pay the $250 per person deposit today (28th March) you will still get the Pre-sale price. From Saturday Morning the price jumps by AU$1130 per person in share twin
- The Canada and Alaska pre-sale is still ongoing but we do advise that anyone interested make a deposit payment and book in as soon as they can to avoid trying to do so at the last minute when the end of the pre-sale is announced
- We are extending our discount on the Hong Kong Shopping Tour (AU$576) for another two weeks until April 21, so if you want to book in on this tour we recommend doing so soon.

Well ladies, and those gents that follow, we have the ‘boat full’ of information news and updates for you all today! Well, no more procrastination lets get to the heart of things shall we!
Celebrity Century Southern Shores
First off Celebrity Cruises are bringing one of their ships down to Australia for a limited time – the Celebrity Century. This Ship will only be in our waters for an extremely limited time so we have snapped up some group allocation which now needs to be filled! We have limited inside, outside and balcony Staterooms for this 22nd October 2014 sailing. For those that enjoy Australian cruising or want a look at this vessel take a look at the itinerary here and then get in touch with us about securing your space. We do have limited space so it will be on a first come first serve.
Weekender Madness
We have finally managed to get all our initial weekender packages up online including the Food & Wine Cruise this August, our Shopping Tour of Melbourne in October, the Hunter Valley Weekend Getaway in November, the Australian Open Cruise in January, the Moreton Island Cruise in February and the Murray River taste in March. Some of these are limited in space. You can find these all under the Weekenders area of the Upcoming Tours section in the above menu.
BOOKING WEEKENDS!
We are going to encourage you all to come down between this weekend (March 8th) and Easter (so by the 15th April) to sign up for any of our tour programmes. Right now we need to know who wants to do what for a variety of reasons including : So we can put people in touch with each other so we can match up single, so we can decide if a trip has enough interest to continue promoting, and to see if we need more or less allotment than what we currently hold on any given trip. Informational Evening – Thanks For Attending!
What a fantastic night last night! Having 60 people show up literally floored us, what a great turn out!
So our thanks to you all for making it a fantastic evening, and I am sure you share our appreciation for the time Kathy (from Evergreen & Scenic Tours) and Helen (from Princess Cruises) spent speaking to us on their fantastic product.
The feedback we received was phenomenal and we are still trying to get through everything that people left with us. For those interested in our day tour programmes we should have them all up here within the next week or so for preview, and the group tours for 2015 should follow soon afterwards!
We will be running a few “Saturday Sessions” at our office in Junction street for specific 2014 departures over the next few months – so if you are interested in the Hong Kong Shopping Tour, New Zealand Princess Cruise, Food & Wine Weekender , the Melbourne Shopping Weekender or the Hunter Valley Weekend – keep your eyes and ears open for details on these.
For those outside the Shoalhaven who have told us they are interested, good news .. we are considering some informational evenings elsewhere including in the Illawarra, Sutherlandshire, Southern Highlands and Central Coast. If and when we decide to run with these we will let you know!

Get Away With One Of Our “Weekenders”
One of the other little services we have been planning to offer – and which will start appearing here very soon, is a range of short duration trips, or Weekenders, as we like to call them
To start with we will have a Melbourne Getaway this October, with shopping and sightseeing during the day and the theatre in the evening. To follow this up is a Gourmet Weekend away in the Hunter Valley in November tasting wines, beers and other local produce. In January (2015) we have space on a cruise heading down to Melbourne to take in the Australian Open and in March (2015) we have a limited space departure for a mini Murray Cruise ex-Echuca on one of Australias most iconic Paddlesteamers.
Prices and dates will be available soon – but if you are already interested please feel free to let us know so that we can ensure you are amongst the first to receive the full details when they become available.
Lake Eyre Update
Just a quick update to let everyone know that we have closed sales on the Lake Eyre departure. We would like to thank everyone for their interest .. and that if there is anyone out there with a desire to still visit the area please let me know and we can ensure that in the future we can let you know if anything else comes up.

We will also be previewing some of our weekend getaways including a weekend in the Hunter, an Australian Open Cruise, a Melbourne Shopping Weekend and more.
We will talk about New Zealand Cruising, Vietnam, European River Cruising, Canada & Alaska, Egypt and more. The event is open to all single travellers, couples or those looking to take off on a journey with their local Travel Expert. Everyone is encouraged to join us – couples, singles or otherwise

Classifieds – Tell Everyone What You Want
Well the New Year is certainly off and running .. and we are doing our best to keep up. First off a quick note that the Norfolk Island departure is closing for sale soon due to finalization deadlines. If you wish to book a spot please contact us before the 10th January – we have limited spaces available so it is based on first come first serve.
Otherwise we would like to bring to everyones attention out “Classifieds”page in-case you haven’t found your way there. On our Classifieds page we are advertising for travellers whom are seeking companions for specific trips outside of our group tours. So if you are thinking of travelling and would like to meet up with someone we have several already seeking companions for a variety of destinations.
At this stage we have 1 person who was looking for a companion on a Russian River Cruise (whom we have already matched up!) as well as another seeking a companion for travels in the South of France this June, and a third seeking someone to join them for a Round World Cruise in 2015.
Should these destinations not be the ones you are seeking (and should our group departures not meet your requirements) then please let us know what you are seeking and we can add you to our classifieds, or put out a broadcast through our database, to see if we can match you up with someone seeking something similar.

Norfolk Island Tour – Sale Closes 10 January and Tour Date Change
We hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year,. With less than three months until our departure to Norfolk Island we thought we would post a quick reminder up that we still had a few limited spaces available and that we will be closing the sales window on this tour soon. So if you were looking at joining but haven’t been in touch please let us know immediately! You can review the current tour schedule here!
At this stage we have 6 spaces left for the Norfolk Island Discovery, and we must finalise everything by the 10th January 2014. This Trip highlights the Islands Convict Heritage and gives you free time to explore the aspects of the island you wish to experience – the culture, the walking trails, the sport, the natural features.
We would also like to note that due to flight scheduling the trip will now be departing on the 17th March, not the 16th, and will still be for the same duration.
