A European Evening In Nowra

eilean-donan-castle-650681

From the crumbling castles of the British Isles, to the romantic vineyards of France, from the sun blasted hills of a Santorini street, to the crisp mountain air of the Norwegian Fjords, Europe has an incredibly vast array of sights and sounds to attract the visitor, with many travelling there again, and again and again.

Whether it is a short visit combining city stays and touring in places like London and Rome, taking a river cruise down the Danube or Douro, hopping on a coach tour of the Baltic and Former Russian States, embarking on a self drive holiday of the UK,  or enjoying a cruise around the Mediterranean or Adriatic, Europe seems to call us again and again.

This August 4th, we are hosting a catered evening (so it is essential you RSVP if you wish to attend) to allow six specialists tell you how you can experience Europe in all in splendour. With film presentations and lively talks they will cover everything from cruising the waterways and oceans of Europe, to coach touring, city stays and self drive holidays.

Take this chance to meet the Experts from Trafalgar Tours, Insight Vacations, Princess Cruises, Qantas Holidays, Scenic and APT as they share their love for everything Europe at the Worrigee Ex-Servicemans Sports Club from 5pm on the 4th August.

All you need to do to reserve your space is click here and fill out a registration – places are limited, so make sure you secure yours today!

My Asian Journeys

vietnam-1139411_1920

Just a short journey from Australia, the Asian Region is a fantastic area for the quick getaway. While many destinations would take weeks on end to see in full, for the traveller with only a week or two to spend, there are a fantastic array of highlight options that will give you an incredible taste of a destination then leave you asking for more, and willing to travel back there again in the future.

For those after their first taste of Asia, our Singapore with the Experts programme this October is the perfect way to get your first feel of a foreign culture without the huge differences that a lot of the mainland Asian destinations provide. From AU$2899 this is a perfect introductory trip to Asia.

For those that are more adventurous we have a couple of introductory tours we are running in early 2017 with the assistance of our longtime partner in Asia – Wendy Wu – to visit the best of Vietnam and the Best of China

WW-Logo-Portrait

Both of these tours will be escorted with a minimum of 16 travellers, both tour departures are guaranteed to operate as scheduled. There are limited spaces on these departures, so should you wish to join them, or talk to us about a journey to Asia, we encourage you to contact us at My Travel Expert on (02) 4421 5577 or nowra@mytravelexpert.com.au

Encounter Singapore – Limited Spaces Left!

garden-by-the-bay-503916_1920

Spanning 101 hectares of reclaimed land in central Singapore, the Gardens by the Bay is part of a strategy by the Government of Singapore to transform Singapore from a “Garden City”to a “City in a Garden”. A Mixture of Classic Gardens, artificial Environment and Artistic Gardens the Gardens by the Bay are fast becoming one of the more incredible sights for travellers to see whilst visiting Singapore – with the Supertrees, the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome being some of the more popular highlights.

The Gardens By The Bay is just one of the many highlights our special departure to Singapore this October will cover. Led by Leonie this tour will start by giving you a look at the modern highlights of Singapore, the mixture of Buddhist and Hindi traditions and a Visit to Little India. We retrace the footsteps of Sir Stamford Raffles and his influence on the island nation, ending a bust day with a Singapore Sling at the renowned Raffles Hotel. We explore the Conservation Parks that Singapore has become renowned for – Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, The Night Safari and the new River Safari. We also take time out to visit some of the cities thriving and bustling nightspots from Suntec City to Bugis Street, and enjoy all the cultural and commercial highlights of a night out in China Town. We also visit the Singapore Fly – the local take on London’s Eye – and the popular Alive Museum.

Its not all a rush though, and we combine in balance the time we spend sightseeing with the time we leave for you to do some self exploring – whether its enjoying retail therapy on Orchard Road, visiting the Heritage Walks of Fort Canning Park, taking a pilgrimage to Changi Chapel or enjoying the some time in the pool or at the spa.

Available from AU$2899 per person in share twin, this one off departure leaves from Sydney on the 12th of October and flies off to Singapore where you will be set up in a fantastic centrally located four star property for the trips duration before returning back home to Sydney where the programme ends on the 20th October.

So if you have a desire to really see Singapore rather than just transiting, or want to travel in some excellent company – then call us today for further details or to Reserve your Place aboard our Singapore Experience.

My Field Of Lights Experience

field of lights

In April 2016 international artist, Bruce Munro, came to Uluru and brought with him an incredible artwork. The solar-powered installation known as the “Field of Lights” is comprised of more than 50,000 stems crowned with frosted-glass spheres and will bloom as darkness falls over Australia’s spiritual heartland, until the end of March in 2017.

To take advantage of this rare event and visit some of the incredible locations around Uluru, while taking the effort to avoid the scalding summer heat, My Travel Expert and the Shoalhaven Solo Sisters have organised a one off departure to discover the field of lights.

Departing 30th August 2016 from Sydney and returning 2 September this programme covers return airfares and domestic taxes flying with Virgin Australia* , 3 nights at the Voyages Outback Pioneer Hotel in a standard room with full breakfast daily, the Field Of Lights Star Pass, return transfers between the airport and accommodation in Ayers Rock, an Uluru Sunrise and Kata Juta Tour, an Uluru Sunset and BBQ Dinner, and Free Indigenous Guest Activities Programme.

A Documentary Showing WHY Travel Insurance Is Important!

globalhealth

Everyone who books through My Travel Expert and the Shoalhaven Solo Sisters has heard us ask “Would you like us to help organise your Travel Insurance?”and would have heard the stories on why we – along with the Australian Government and the Travel Industry in General – truly believe that everyone should have travel insurance whenever they travel.

A little while ago, the statement “If you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel”started to become a standard in the Travel Industry here in Australia, and while a bit crass in its delivery its message is sound. Travel Insurance Policy – more importantly a comprehensive coverage, will be there when you need it should you lose your luggage, fall ill whilst cruising, damage a rental car or more! A small investment in a travel insurance policy at the start of your booking arrangements can help save you a lot in the long run should something go wrong.

One of the suppliers whom we are able to issue policies with, Cover-More, go beyond the standard service, not only providing travellers with a fantastic policy and world-wide assistance, but simcards for telephones and an amazing emergency assistance team.

When the earthquakes devastated Nepal, Cover-More pulled out all the stops and did what no-one else thought to do, and now, in a documentary highlighting those actions you can see for yourself why obtaining a travel insurance policy when travelling is so important.

Top let you know what the documentary is about here are a few words from Covermore ..

“It’s just over 12 months since the devastating earthquakes struck Nepal and just over 12 months since one of our proudest moments in Cover-More’s 30 year history.

Cover-More was the only travel insurance company in the world to send an assistance team and an aircraft into Kathmandu to bring customers home.

Now the observational documentary we made about the crisis and Cover-More’s response will be shown in prime time on Foxtel’s National Geographic Channel Shortly, in Australia and New Zealand.

Our Story will go to air at 6.30pm AEST on Monday 16 May 2016 and repeats will follow during the subsequent 7 days.

Our commitment to the safety and protection of our clients is stronger than ever – and the effort you witnessed with our response in Nepal is what we offer to our clients, every day from every single part of our business.”

Take A Quick Preview By Clicking Here!

So we would encourage you all to take a few moments and watch this documentary when it goes to air – screening times are as follows:

Monday 16 May 2016, 6.30pm
Thursday 19 May 2016, 11.30am
Sunday 22 May 2016, 8.30am
Friday 27 May 2016, 2.30pm
Saturday 28 May 2016, 7.30am

If you are planning to travel don’t forget to ask us about Travel Insurance, with Cover-More or the other providers we are able to sell. For information on Travel Insurance please feel free to contact us any time on (02) 4421 5577 or nowra@mytravelexpert.com.au
