6th April 2015 ARRIVE AUCKLAND (D)
Welcome to New Zealand! Today we arrive in Auckland and have a fairly easy day once we disembark. You will be collected from the wharf upon your arrival into Auckland and transferred to your city accommodation. The rest of your day is at your leisure with dinner tonight included at your hotel restaurant. Accommodation: Rydges Hotel Auckland or Similar

This morning you will be transferred to the ferry terminal at the quay where you will enjoy a ferry cruise to Waiheke Island through the glorious Hauraki Gulf. Arrive at Matiatia where you will be greeted on the wharf by Ananda Tours. The tour will commence with a drive along the scenic northern route, taking in spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf and beyond to the Coromandel Peninsula. Visit Kennedy Point Vineyard where they produce Syrah, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay and Rosé wines using biodynamic methods. Here you will also taste estate–grown olive oil and New Zealand avocado oil. The winery decks are tucked among the pohutukawa trees overlooking Waiheke Island’s Kennedy Bay, and are the perfect setting to sample a range of fine wines. Enjoy a tasting at Peacock Sky, who produce Rosé Méthode Traditionelle, Chardonnay, Rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Malbec wines. The wines are all carefully matched with morsels of tempting food created daily by the vineyard owners. Peacock Sky’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon won a Gold Medal at the 2011 Upper North Island Wine Challenge. After your tasting stay on for lunch in their vineyard restaurant. (Beverages during lunch own expense.) Next visit Stonyridge Vineyard for wine tasting. Founded in 1982, Stonyridge is a world-class producer of Cabernet blends and is the home of one of New Zealand’s cult wines, Larose (not included in tasting). You will taste their Church Bay Chardonnay, Merlot/ Cabernet Franc as well as the Fallen Angel Sauvignon Blanc. Depart Oneroa and travel back to the ferry, sailing via Davenport to Auckland. You will then be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of the afternoon will be for you to spend at your leisure, with dinner at your own arrangements. 8th April 2015 AUCKLAND / ROTORUA (B, L, S)
This morning you will be collected from your Auckland accommodation and driven south over the Bombay Hills to the lush farmlands of the Waikato noted for its horse studs, and Matamata to the Hobbiton Movie Set. Here you will enjoy an escorted tour where you will discover how the set was created over the ten acre idyllic farmland site and hear stories from the films, followed by a light lunch at the Green Dragon Inn. Later continue onwards to Rotorua, a centre for Maori Culture and a geothermal wonderland. This evening you will be collected from your hotel for a fascinating journey back in time, where you will enjoy a Maori Hangi (meal) with a selection of traditionally prepared meats and vegetables as well as more conventional dishes, all followed by a concert featuring Maori songs, chants and the stirring haka. 9th April 2015 ROTORUA (B, L, D)
You will be transferred to Hells Gate this morning, Rotorua’s most active geothermal field! Upon arrival you will enjoy a guided walk through this incredible and fascinating landscape, viewing the remarkable formations and colours, cascading hot water and unearthly vistas. Next the indulgent side of your visit really begins! Enjoy a luxurious one hour massage and a 45 minute facial, take a soak in an unforgettable geothermal mud bath that gently exfoliates the skin leaving it clean and soft followed by a relaxing sulphur spa overlooking the thermal reserve. A perfectly relaxing experience of indulgence and wellbeing, with a platter included for a light lunch. After your treatments you will be transferred back to your accommodation where the rest of your day is at leisure to relax or head out to explore. Dinner tonight is at your hotel. 10th April 2015 ROTORUA (B)
Today is a full free day for you to enjoy the many sightseeing options available to you in Rotorua. Why not explore some of the geothermal or Maori cultural experiences available such as at Te Puia or even take a visit to the fascinating Rotorua Museum. Alternatively you can take a stroll beside the lake or explore the many shops and cafes that line the streets. Accommodation: Sudima Hotel Rotorua  or Similar

11th April 2015 DEPART ROTORUA
This morning you will be transferred to the Rotorua Airport in plenty of time to board your homebound flight. NZ8742 Departing at approximately 0935 and changing in Auckland for NZ719 for Sydney arriving home at approximately 1430
