Day 01: 05th November 2016: Arrival Dubai: Arrival at Dubai International Airport, Flight details to be advised. Meet, greet and assist outside the Airport Transfer to a Dubai hotel in a suitable vehicle. Check-in to the Dubai city hotel (Check-in from 1500 hrs onwards). Day 02: 06th November 2016: Dubai: Breakfast at the hotel in Dubai . Tour start with the new Dubai where the vision is larger than life. Driving down Sheikh Zayed Road admire the glittering high rises en route to Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a beautiful recreation of an Arabian style market place. After a photo stop at the iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel your drive continues to Palm Jumeirah, a fully reclaimed, palm shaped island that is home to the magnificent Atlantis, The Palm. Our tour continues to Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski slope in the region, offering fresh snow all year round. Our final stop will be at the base of what is currently the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa (entry is not included). After lunch (own arrangement) we start in the old district of Al Bastakiya, with its narrow lanes and tall windtowers (Barajeels). Continue to the Dubai Museum, located in Al Fahidi Fort and stroll through the Old Souk before crossing the creek by abra (water taxi). From the Spice Souk, we continue our walk to Al Ahmadiya School. Established in 1912, it was the first regular school in Dubai. Our last stop is the Gold Souk where you can practice your bargaining skills. Final stop for the tour will be Dubai Fountain, a spectacle of lights and sound and one of the world’s largest performing fountains. Note: Dubai Fountain Management reserves the right to call off the show without prior notice.
Day 03: 07th November 2016: Dubai: Breakfast at the hotel in Dubai . Today we have a free day for you to explore what you wish to see in Dubai – maybe you want to experience the Indoor Ski Fields, the mega shopping malls, High tea at the Burj or just take in life in the city. (PM)Sundowner – Dune Dinner Safari The mysterious desert beckons you for a magical evening out – an adventure you’ll never forget. Leaving behind the bustle of the city in the afternoon, our safari guides will transport you, by four-wheel drive vehicles, for a thrilling journey over rolling dunes through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, deep into the heart of the desert. From the crest of a high dune, watch the setting sun cast its orange glow over the vast expanse of rippling sand all round you. Like a shimmering mirage in the distance you will see the flickering lights of your camp where a traditional Arabian welcome awaits you. The encampment conjures up images of the Arabian nights. Quench your thirst while you relax on comfortable low cushions in Bedu tents. Have your hands painted with intricate henna designs, dress in local customary clothing for a once in a lifetime souvenir, see your name written in a bottle of colored sand, taste the exquisite flavors of camel chocolate, experience a short camel ride, or just enjoy the aromatic shisha. A feast of grilled meats, fresh salads, delectable Arab sweets and selected beverages are served. Under a galaxy of stars, you will be entertained by the bewitching belly dancer swaying in the strains of Arabian music. You won’t want this enchanting evening to end. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: 8th November 2016: Grand Canyons – Safari to Hajar Mountains: Check-out & Breakfast at the hotel in Dubai . We depart from Dubai in the morning and drive towards the East coast of the United Arab Emirates, as we head towards the picturesque Hajar Mountains. Driving along the shores of the Indian Ocean, we pass through the quaint picturesque town of Dibba. Our off-road adventure through the steep passes of the rugged Hajar range starts from here. For the next two hours, the journey takes us though a wild landscape of dramatic canyons, deep gorges and rocky valleys. Amidst these impressive natural sights lie small mud-walled villages where crops are cultivated. After pausing for buffet lunch at Le Meridien Al Aqua Beach Resort & Spa we drive back to Dibba village from where we head to the oasis town of Masafi. Here, we visit the colorful Friday Market before continuing on towards Dubai. Our final stop is at a camel farm owned by a prominent local family. This farm is home to 3,000 camels and after a brief tour; you will have a chance to sample exquisite chocolate produced from the camel’s milk. Day 05: 9th November 2016: Fujairah to Hatta : Check-out & Breakfast at the hotel in Fujairah hotel. This morning is partly at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel including the beach and pool area. (Check out at 1000 hrs) Off-road from Fujairah to Hatta (A 4WD vehicle will be used for the day) Today your off-road trip starts with a scenic drive along the east coast to reach Kalba, a coastal enclave belonging to the Emirate of Sharjah where you have an opportunity to take a look at the famous mangrove marshes which are a reserved area. From here the 4WD jeep crosses a variety of terrain on the way to Hatta, en route taking a rugged mountain track via Wadi Huvailat. Approximately 90 minutes later you arrive in Hatta where there is time to visit the Heritage Village and take a few photos at Hatta Dam. After lunch (paid directly) the tour continues through the sand dunes to reach Fossil Rock and later Camel Rock, an unusual rock formation hidden among the dunes. Drive back to Dubai desert conservation reserve for overnight at the Campsite. Notes: • Recommended an overnight bag only. You may leave your main baggage with the hotel bell desk • Please bring clothes and toiletries as this is an overnight stay. A warm sweater or jacket is recommended in the winter months comfortable shoes and loose clothing are recommended • Linen and towels are provided • Full bathroom facilities with a shower are on site. No warm water facility available in the washrooms / showers • Please do not bring your own alcohol (as per Dubai law, carrying alcohol in Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is not allowed) • This tour includes driving over sand dunes and is not suitable for pregnant women or those with spine ailment • Child policy: children aged 5 years and above can be booked • No Storage /safety lockers available for storage of expensive items / jewellery or additional bags
Day 06: 10th November 2016 : Al Ain: Leave from camp after light camp breakfast. Light camp breakfast. This morning you will be transferred to a meeting point at the edge of the desert for a change of vehicles into a regular Sedan / Coach for your onward journey to Abu Dhabi Emirate’s second largest city, Al Ain. Enjoy a great day taking in the sights of the beautiful ‘Garden City’ of Al Ain. The tour begins with a drive through the fascinating and ever changing desert scenery before reaching the Hajar Mountains. In Al Ain, step back in time at the Hili Gardens, famous for the archaeological excavations from the third millennium B.C. The tour continues with a visit of Al Ain National Museum and Al Jahili Fort. During a stop at the Al Ain Oasis you will learn about the ‘Falaj’, an underground irrigation system, before driving to the renovated Old Palace of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and former President of UAE. Stop at a hot spring at the foot of Jebel Hafeet, the highest mountain peak in the area before visiting the region’s largest camel market to hear about the “Ships of the Desert”. Afterwards you will drive to Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet, a unique mountain oasis resort located 915 meters above sea level on the top of Hafeet Mountain. Check-in and enjoy an overnight stay with breathtaking views of Al Ain city sprawled below. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the pool and other recreational activities on offer. Day 07: 11th November 2016: Abu Dhabi : After checking out from the hotel, proceed to UAE’s capital city, Abu Dhabi. On arrival you will once again change to 4WD vehicle for another exciting desert trip to see an ocean of dunes and sands! En route you stop at the unique Car Museum to see an extraordinary collection of vehicles owned by one of Abu Dhabi’s royal family members, H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. The tour continues to the beautiful red sand dunes on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi for an exciting dune drive. You will enjoy a great day out with plenty of opportunity for photos of the curious shapes the dunes take as they are constantly moulded by the harsh desert winds. A picnic lunch is served amidst the sand dunes. Afterwards drive back to Abu Dhabi and arrive at your hotel. Overnight at a hotel, Abu Dhabi
Day 08: 12th November 2016: Abu Dhabi to Dubai : Discover the highlights of Abu Dhabi, capital of the Emirates, known as the Arabian Jewel. The first destination is Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Continue to the Sheikh Zayed Centre for a glimpse into the private life of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, who is revered as “Father of the Nation”. Your final stop this morning will be at the artificial Breakwater for a visit of the Heritage Village where you journey into the past to explore life before oil was discovered. Overnight in Abu Dhabi. Thereafter visit the unique Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital, the region’s first and only dedicated facility for falcons. Visit the well maintained exhibit section, learn about the different species of falcons and see some of the fascinating tools of a falconer’s trade. At the treatment rooms a trained care-giver provides explanations on common ailments and their treatments. Next experience an enthralling show as a falconer displays his prowess and the falcon’s range of hunting skills after which you will enjoy a brief photo opportunity with these graceful birds. Overnight in Abu Dhabi.
Day 09: 13th November 2016: Abu Dhabi Departure (B) : Breakfast at the hotel. Morning is at leisure. Check out at 12 Noon. Transfer to Dubai International Airport for your departure flight. Flight details to be advised.
