From the days or the original Orient Express, travelling the world by Rail has been seen as a luxury and ultimate travel experience, and whilst the glamour of rail journeys may have faded a bit there is still an incredible array of rail journeys out there for the traveller to enjoy, from the luxury journeys of the Palace on Wheels or Rovos Rail to the incredible vistas offered by journeys like the Copper Canyon Run in Mexico or the Rocky Mountaineer in Canada.

The Ghan and the Indian Pacific, are Australia’s two premier rail journeys crossing the country south to north, and east to west respectively, these trains provide a comfortable way to visit and experience the vast reaches of Australia’s Outback and the Red Centre.
Trans- Siberian and Trans-Mongolian, starting from Vladivostok, Beijing or Ulaanbaatar , this is perhaps one of the worlds most renown voyages travelling from the pacific coast all the way through to Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Travelling via places like Yekaterinburg and Lake Baikal the sights available as you transit the Siberian Tundra is absolutely incredible!
The Rocky Mountaineer, is perhaps one of the worlds most famous rail journeys covering the mountainous peaks of Rocky Mountains it is a must inclusion for those that love the sweeping vistas and the possibility of wildlife sightseeing. Available as a one way trip from Vancouver to Banff or as a return journey this is one way to see the mighty Rocky Mountains in comfort.
Rovos Rail and the Blue Train, are synonymous with the world Luxury, and a journey aboard either of these trains hearkens back to the days of true luxury rail voyages. An incredible way to get not only a taste of Rail Heritage but a look at some of the more incredible places in Southern Africa, Rovos Rail and the Blue Train are experiences to be savoured.

Travelling With Family @ My Travel Expo
Many people don’t think that they can travel with family, they dread the thought of looking after kids as they struggle to sight see and get themselves around, and as a result many people who end up wanting to travel end up putting it off until after their children have grown.
We are here to tell you that waiting for the kids to grow up before enjoying your travel dreams is not necessary!
For those travelling with Kids under 5, or just wanting a relaxing break the easiest option for your travels with family is to do a Cruise or Resort Stay Holidays where the kids can be looked after by the Kids Club while you chill, indulging in the occasional day tour or adventure.
With companies like Sunlover Holidays, NCL Cruises, Qantas Holidays and Princess Cruises there are a world of options out there where you can get away, relax and leave the majority of looking after the kids to the professionals, while you kick back and relax. Though you should recall that most kids clubs need children to be at least 3 years of age.
For those with kids over 5 that is still an option, but there is a world of travelling opportunities out there that are specifically built for families, and will still allow you to get out and see your dream destination – like Peru or Kenya or Vietnam – and bring the kids along on what would be a fantastic journey.

Travel to the Dark Continent!
